I Have Chosen a Recipient....

For this years' Giving is Awesome campaign. The nominator has been contacted and they wished to tell the recipient the news first. At this point I will wait until I recieve permission from the nominee to publish the name or email of the nomination I chose.

I want to thank each and every one of the wonderful people who have put someone in their thoughts and prayers to reach out by telling me their story. Each of the nominations were deserving and it was a hard decision, Bless all of you this Holiday Season.

A New Favorite!

I was going through some of Gavan's photos that I didn't get around to editing. I came across this one and knew that I would be absolutely in love with it! So I'm posting this on my blog for everyone to see. Don't you just love it?!?!!!

You know someone.

You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – a complimentary session, a session album, and a $200 print credit to be exact....it's in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a complimentary session and $100 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

The rules:

You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-home does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

The nominee must reside in or travel Southeast Michigan, Tell me who you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

It's been a while!!

Since my son has been cooperative enough to get some pics of him. We had to take a lot of breaks, go into starbucks,candy stores, and toy stores, but finally got some adorable shots of him. I can't believe how much he's changed in the last year, it breaks my heart! I can see the maturity in him now, in his expressions in the way he talks, oh my, he's growing up.

It's our children's future as much as it's ours. I want to make sure I do my part to help with the growth of this country and to make it safe and secure for my son. And it only took me 10 minutes start to finish!!!!

I'm very excited to announce that I will be offering studio work in the near future.
As of this time, I'm working on getting it all together, making space, and waiting for the rest of my equipment to come in. I find studio to be absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to get started. Here is a preview of what you will see.

Sneak Peek for the S family

The shoot was mainly for Mr. M, but I was able to get a couple of Ms. M and Mr. A as well. To narrow it down, a couple for Mr M and one of them altogether. I couldn't resist to do one of Ms M, she is absolutely gorgeous, and I was able to process this in my favorite style, a little vintage and soul, I love her expression here! It was very nice to meet these kids, some of the most well behaved especially being altogether, I know how it can be, I'm one of 4, but the oldest, so I get my way, LOL! Hope you enjoy these!

Edited to add, Mrs. S, your son looks like Booth, the FBI agent from Bones. The whole time I was taking Mr. M's pics, I kept telling his mom, your son looks like an actor and at the time I couldn't figure out who I was thinking of. Duh! Bones is a must watch for me! LOL! So there you go :)

We are Family.....

I was given the honor to meeting J's(Greatgrandmother)family today. A stunning array of beauty, talent and brains. And little Mr. J, cracked me up, he would laugh whenever his mommy and auntie would sing this song, you girls will have to tell me the name of the song so I may use it when I photograph another babe. A little Vintage

I edited this one from my session with Mr. L, it screamed for a vintage touch, I just love little boys with their dogs, seeing them together touches my heart. I get the same feeling when I see my little guy play with our dog. Moments to truely treasure.

How lucky am I ?!??!!

I get to shoot the cutest kids!!!! Mr. L was such a doll and one of the politest kids I have ever met. His dog Ms. T was such a cutie also, I don't think she barked once even with all the commotion around, it was a nice night and there were people all over out enjoying it.
