My Neice!!!

Spent a good part of the day with my neice and my SIL at the park, I don't get to see them much. Daddy's in the Army, with more training at the moment and out of state. My thanks, Bro! Anyways, a complete doll! However, she looks like her daddy, drool and all, LOL! JK J! I know you miss your little lady, and that this cheers you up while you're away. Hope to spend more time with little M, and grab some more soon :)

Sisters

Miss E (the small one) had other things on her mind and wanted to do things her own way, she posed all on her own so I caught her being silly most of the time. But I couldn't resist posting this shot, she sat on my couch and started doing her thing! She has the cutest pouty face ever. PRECIOUS! And I loved Miss S! They are so easy at this age, pretty much do whatever you want with no compaints, LOL! Anyways here is your sneak peek, You girls were great!

A Return to Roots

Theres nothing like getting away for a while and it was especially nice to go back and visit the place where you're originally from and see family that means so much. I had a great time and hated to leave, but anyways you eventually have to face reality and get on with your normal life. Heres some shots I took on our many travels, we didn't have to go to far, I woke up to similar sites every morning. Washington is absolutely breathtaking, and I cannot wait to go back. Thanks Dad for the great time!

Please Vote!!! Giving Is Awesome...

Woah! It's been a very long winter. But thankfully it's coming to an end. With that I will finally meet the chosen family for last years Giving is Awesome Campaign. There was no way that I could fit a whole family in my makeshift studio, LOL! So we decided to wait until it became warmer to do their photoshoot. I really look forward to meeting you all!

Giving is Awesome!
Giving is Awesome was founded in December of 2008 which I was thrilled to be a part of. It was a simple premise: photographers give a portrait shoot and products to a family who deserves it, but can't afford it. In the twelve weeks since then, over 530photographers have donated over $550,000 worth of custom portraiture to families who couldn't afford it. Artists in places as far flung as Australia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Mexico joined in. Giving is Awesome is also featured in this month's issue of Professional Photographer magazine, and we're looking to continue to spread the word about giving.

Lenovo and Microsoft are sponsoring the 'Name Your Dream Assignment' contest, which grants $50,000 to the photographer who wins to shoot whatever/wherever they would like- and this is the project I badly want to support!!!

What better way to spread the word than to load 12 photographers into a tour bus and hit up cities with Giving is Awesome shoots? The blog traffic generated by the tour would easily reach 50,000 photographers per day, thus multiplying the number of photographers who sign on for the 2009 version of Giving is Awesome. (The goal: 15,000 photographers for the 2009 edition.)

...but how would we decide who to shoot for those tour bus Giving is Awesome giveaways? Why, we would rely on our friends at ConKerr Cancer, an international charity, to provide our subjects: children currently living with cancer. We'd be bringing awareness of both utterly smashing organizations to light, spreading the photographic love, AND rockin' a tour bus! Now we're talkin'! What if this project doesn't cost $50,000? Easy! ConKerr Cancer receives the funds to purchase cameras for their chapter coordinators, less the expenses of the tour. This allows the impact of the tour to go much further than the people on the bus, or even the photographers associated with Giving is Awesome. It's the ripple effect in its truest form, giving sparking giving sparking giving.

Studio Torture for my son!

Gav isn't feeling all that well today, but he promised he would help me practice, I just thought this one turned out adorable! We only worked for about 15 min, and then I made him some hot cocoa, which I promised to make him when we were done. He then told me "Mommy I love you" Melts my heart that he can still say that after I made him take pics!
